Description:

Diazinon is an organophosphate insecticide that affects the nervous system by inhibiting acetylcholinesterase. All residential uses were canceled in the United States, although certain agricultural uses remain subject to restrictions and risk-mitigation requirements. Diazinon is not approved for use in plant-protection products in the European Union. Exposure may still occur in agricultural settings and in areas where it was previously applied.
