Description:
Lindane is an organochlorine insecticide formerly used on agricultural and forestry crops and as a seed treatment. It has also been used in topical medications to treat lice and scabies. Lindane is classified as a Persistent Organic Pollutant (POP) under the Stockholm Convention and is largely banned for agricultural use worldwide.
