Description:

Oxacycloheptadec-10-en-2-one (Ambrettolide) is a macrocyclic musk fragrance ingredient used in personal care and cleaning products. It functions as both a perfuming agent and fixative to improve fragrance longevity. Ambrettolide occurs naturally in trace amounts in ambrette seed (Abelmoschus moschatus) but is most commonly produced synthetically and is used as a safer alternative to nitro musks and animal-derived musks.
