Description:
Rotenone is a naturally occurring insecticidal compound derived from the roots of several tropical plant species. Most U.S. food-crop and other conventional insecticidal uses have been discontinued. Current U.S. pesticidal registrations are restricted-use products for trained applicators to manage invasive or unwanted fish populations in water bodies. Rotenone is not approved as an active substance for plant-protection products in the European Union.
