Description:

Thiophanate-methyl is a systemic fungicide used on fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds, turf, and ornamental plants. It breaks down into carbendazim, a generally more environmentally persistent fungicidal compound. Thiophanate-methyl remains registered for specified uses in the United States with measures intended to reduce dietary, occupational, and ecological exposure, but its approval was not renewed in the European Union.
